Terms of Service

Effective date: 13 May 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms govern your use of Amora.Cards, operated by:
Amora.Cards
Tommy Østgaard
Haspertskamp 7A, 48432 Rheine, Germany
Email: help@amora.cards

2. What the service is

Amora.Cards lets you create and send physical printed postcards anywhere in the world. You upload a photo, write a message, provide a recipient address, and pay. We print on 350gsm premium cardstock and hand the card to the postal service for delivery.

3. Accepting these terms

By using our service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Amora.Cards. Users under 18 require parental consent.

4. Account

An account is not required to send a postcard. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Orders and payment

5.1 Placing an order

When you complete checkout, you make a binding offer to purchase. We accept your offer when we send your order confirmation email.

5.2 Pricing

All prices are shown inclusive of all applicable taxes and worldwide postage. The price shown at checkout is the total price — there are no additional fees. Prices may change without notice but will never affect orders already placed.

5.3 Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe and is due at the time of order. We accept major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We never store or process your full card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy.

6. Right of withdrawal

Under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for personalised goods. Since every postcard is custom-printed with your photo, message, and recipient details, it is a personalised product. Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled.

If there is a problem with your order, see Section 9 (Warranty).

7. What you can and cannot send

You are responsible for everything you upload and write. The following is prohibited:

  • Illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights (only use photos you own or have rights to)
  • Spam, harassment, or threatening messages
  • Adult or sexually explicit material
  • Content that violates any applicable law

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that violates these rules.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you upload. By submitting an order you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to reproduce and print that content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

Our website, design, brand, and all other intellectual property remain our property.

9. Delivery

9.1 Processing

Orders are typically sent to print within one business day of payment confirmation.

9.2 Estimated delivery times

DestinationEstimated arrival
Europe3–7 business days
Rest of world7–15 business days

These are estimates. Postal delays, customs, or other factors outside our control can affect delivery times.

9.3 Non-arrival

If your card has not arrived within 21 business days, contact us and we will reprint and resend it at no cost to you.

10. Warranty and defects

We warrant that postcards will be printed to a professional standard. If you receive a card with a print defect (not caused by a low-quality source image), contact us within 30 days of the expected delivery date with a description of the problem. We will reprint and resend the card or, at our discretion, issue a refund.

This warranty does not cover postal damage or delays after the card has been handed to the postal service.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the German Product Liability Act.

For all other claims, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the order in question.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or postal service disruptions.

13. Privacy

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Outstanding orders already in production will still be fulfilled.

15. Governing law

EU consumers: the law of your country of residence applies and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Business users and non-EU consumers: German law applies and the courts of Rheine, Germany have jurisdiction.

16. Dispute resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform for EU consumers: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

German consumers may also contact the Universal Dispute Resolution Centre: verbraucher-schlichter.de

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email or with a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
