FAQ
The questions people actually ask.
Real answers. No fluff. If you can't find yours, write us: help@amora.cards.
The basics
A real, printed postcard on 350gsm premium cardstock. Your photo on the front, your words on the back. We print it, stamp it, and drop it in the post — it arrives in their letterbox. No digital version. The physical card is the thing.
No. The whole thing works in your browser, on your phone or desktop. No download, no account required, no credit pack. Open the site, send a card, close the tab.
No. You can send a postcard without creating one. If you want to keep a history of what you've sent or save addresses, you can — but nobody's forcing you.
Price & payment
Yes. €3.99 covers the card, the printing, the postage, and the delivery — anywhere in the world. There is no other fee at checkout. Lagos and Lyon cost the same.
Because a cheaper card would mean thinner stock, slower postage, or a surprise airmail fee at checkout. We'd rather say the real number upfront than make you feel clever for finding a €2.49 option that ends up being €6.40.
All major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. One payment, one card, done.
Delivery
Typically 3–10 working days, depending on where in the world. Within Europe, usually 3–6. North America, 5–9. Further afield, 7–12. Cards are printed in the UK and handed to the local postal network for delivery from there.
Today, every card is printed at our partner in the UK, then handed to the postal network for delivery anywhere in the world. We're actively looking for additional print partners in other regions so cards can travel less and arrive faster — but we'd rather tell you where it's really printed than promise a network we don't have yet.
230+. Essentially everywhere that has a postal service. If there's a letterbox, we can get a card to it.
No — your card travels as a real postcard, on standard postage. There's no tracking number, no scan along the way. We'll email you when it's printed and handed to the postal service; after that, the next person to see it is whoever opens the letterbox.
If your card hasn't arrived 21 working days after we sent it, we reprint and resend it, on us. No forms, no proof needed. Just write us and we'll sort it.
Writing the card
There's a generous character limit (around 400 characters) — enough to fill the back of the card comfortably. The whole back of the card is yours. A full paragraph is normal and good.
No. Short is fine. Long is fine. Nobody who receives a postcard packed with handwriting thinks “that's too much.” Write as much as feels honest. If you've got more to say, say it.
Yes, you can easily duplicate a card to send to multiple addresses. Each one prints and mails separately, so each arrives as its own thing.
The photo
Any photo you took, as long as it's reasonably sharp. The system handles photos from any recent phone. Bright, well-lit shots print beautifully. Screenshots and heavily filtered images will still work but won't sing.
Please don't — stick to photos you own. Copyright matters. If you've got the rights to it, you can upload it.
The card is a standard postcard ratio (roughly 3:2 landscape or 2:3 portrait). In the composer, you'll see exactly how your photo fits and can adjust the crop.
Refunds & mistakes
If you let us know within five minutes of sending, we can usually catch it before printing. After that, it's out the door — but let us know, and we'll help you fix it.
Same rule — five minutes to catch it before printing. We put a short confirmation screen before you send so you can re-read. But we'll reprint a card with a bad typo if you ask, at least once.
If the card doesn't arrive in 21 working days, we reprint and resend — free. If the print quality is genuinely poor (not "the photo was blurry in the first place"), we reprint. Change-of-heart refunds aren't possible once printing starts, because by then it's already a physical object with someone's name on it.
